xDSL Systems

GDC's Universal xDSL Access System provides:

  • Fast and cost-effective provisioning of advanced digital services
  • Maximum use of the existing 2-wire copper loop infrastructure
  • Subrate to 2 Mbps rates using xDSL

GDC's Universal xDSL Access System (UAS) products enable carriers, transportation and utility companies, campuses, and multi-tenant facility managers to optimize their extensive copper investment via new encoding technologies. UAS products are built for maximum equipment integration and global service provisioning on one platform.

UAS products use the latest xDSL technology to enable simple resistance-designed 2-wire loops to be used for connection to any switched or leased line service platform. UAS advantages include:

Reduced Facility and Hardware Costs - Subrate through wideband services on existing 2-wire copper loops; IDSL, S-HDSL and HDSL services in one shelf
Reduced Engineering Costs - UAS technology is limited only by cable gauge and distance
Reduced Network Switch Costs - Grooming and multiplexing N x 56/64 kbps; IDSL, S-HDSL (Single Loop-HDSL) and HDSL loops into full T1/E1 lines reduces the number of ports needed on DACS, frame relay or ATM switches
Lower Installation Costs - Uses pre-engineered loops, modular plug-in hardware and remote centralized testing to reduce installation time to nearly that required for traditional voice services
Lower Maintenance Costs - Using GDC's TEAM Network Management System provides an efficient local fault isolation and management tool for network performance measurements. The UAS family of products supports standard Telco-type network diagnostics.
