Forms Processing Capabilities With OMR Compatibility

Current users of NCS OpScan^® scanners may be experiencing changing times and seeing their information needs expanding beyond automated data entry. They need a way to management images, while maintaining software compatibility and protecting their investment in application programs. They also want to keep trustworthy 16-level OMR data accuracy. Imaging Functionality

The 5000i scanner is more effective and more efficient for mission critical applications than other image capture scanners. The 5000i scanner is a "smart scanner," and it gives you programming flexibility to accomplish tasks unavailable using other scanners — like conditional printing and sorting. The 5000i scanner prevents some problems from ever starting. With features like Dynamic Deskew™, the resources and time otherwise needed to correct deskewed images are eliminated. Image Quality Sentry™ inspects each sheet’s image clarity during scanning so you won’t accumulate a stockpile of undesirable images. Picture Perfect™ technology prevents mechanical anomalies that can lead to higher editing costs.

In addition, the 5000i scanner works with Image ScanTools software. This software is compatible with ScanTools application programs. Image files are industry standard and compatible with most major storage and retrieval systems. Now, images can be stored and retrieved electronically and routed for additional processing. Users can also make use of "key from image" technology to review and interpret open-ended questions, like those found in surveys and performance test applications.
